FEES

What costs more than a lawyer?

Not having one.

Initial Consultation

The initial consultation (approx. 30 minutes) is free of charge and without obligation.

During this session, we provide a clear, transparent, and realistic assessment of your legal situation. We answer your questions and outline possible solutions, including their opportunities and potential risks, so you can make informed decisions from the start.

Legal Representation

If we take on your case, fees are charged in accordance with applicable fee regulations and our hourly rate of USD 180 plus IVA (Costa Rican value-added tax).

An additional office and administrative fee applies, starting at USD 45 plus IVA, depending on the scope of the mandate.

Hourly Rate

Some matters do not have a defined claim value, or the required legal work significantly exceeds the effort anticipated by standard fee schedules. In such cases, and to ensure your matter is handled thoroughly and effectively, we bill at an hourly rate of USD 180 plus IVA.

For most mandates, we work on the basis of advance fee payments (retainers).

GOOD ADVICE ISN'T CHEAP. BUT IT'S WORTH IT.
